Newsat is building more opportunities than ever before!
NEWSAT, not only focuses on opportunities in our main vertical markets–military, broadcast, enterprise, mobile, telcos and commercial–but also digs deeper than ever before, providing fresh data, keen market intelligence and the strategies you need to achieve new levels of excellence and business development.
VSAT Solutions
Through our VSAT Solutions we connect clients in remote areas, or those who have temporary short-term network connectivity needs. VSAT is a small-sized two way satellite ground station antenna that transmits and receives satellite signals, without relying on a third party terrestrial infrastructure.
Because VSAT solutions can be deployed anywhere, they are ideal for business continuity and connectivity in remote, hard to reach locations or temporary sites. For mission critical assets with terrestrial networks, a VSAT service is an ideal standalone disaster recovery tool.
For the first time in Australian history, NewSat intends to launch and operate its very own non foreign owned commercial satellite in GEO-stationary orbit.
The satellite named Jabiru-1 takes it’s name from the indigenous term for ’stork’ or bird. It’s a comparatively large satellite with many transponders weighing more than five tonnes. It will have a life span of 15 years.
Once launched, Jabiru-1 will become a subsidiary of NewSat Limited. It will further enhance our leadership stance by becoming the only Australian company to offer a total satellite communications service.
Jabiru-1 will unlock bandwidth capacity and satellite coverage that is unavailable today. It will provide our clients with access to greater Ka, C and Ku band coverage.
We are excited to advise, that the program is progressing and is on target.
